A fire in my seabelly.
Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10:28AM Last night I had the pleasure of hearing the Seabellies, an awesome new-ish act from my home town Newcastle. In 2007 they were a Triple J next crop artist and have not looked back since. These are a talented bunch of kids with crazy instrument swapping throughout the whole performance. I was more than a little bit blown away.
They still have a few venues left on their 'Board up the apartment' tour before they head back into the studio and record some new stuff, which they played last night and was nothing short of phenomenal. I think i'm in love. =)
You can catch them tonight at The Beachcomber Hotel in Toukley, March 17 @ The Gaelic in Sydney, March 18 @ the Mona Vale Hotel in Mona Vale, March 20 @ the Brass Monkey in Cronulla and on March 26 at the Great Northern in Byron Bay.
