This Is Not Art Zine Fair 2010 #1
Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 9:43PM This is Not Art Festival flew into town this week and left again in the blink of an eye! On Sunday we had a stall at the zine and maker fair, I love this fair and have had a stall at the last four fairs. This is one of my favourite markets to do and attend, people are so appreciative of your creativity, the vibe is awesome and I love chatting and spending my money with other craftsters and zinesters.
On Saturday I also had another market and I overheard a lady at my stall say to her friend 'How ridiculous, any one can do this, not very creative,' She was talking about my up-cycled skirts that I hand screenprint on. I wish that I was a little smarter and quick witted, I would have given her a lashing of my acid tongue. I was too shocked to have a comeback.
The zine fair was a refreshing end to the weekend, everyone that visited my stall had nice things to say and understood process and the time it takes to create something unique.
I spent all my pocket money on Zines on Sunday... no regrets here! See some of my lovely purchases below.
