The Olive Tree Markets - Newcastle part 1
Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 5:59PM Newcastle is a wonderful place with a thriving and quite large arts scene and I just wanted to share with you some excellent local artists and craftsters who sell their wares at The Olive Tree Markets along with us at Howdy Stranger. I'm going to add this post in a few parts because there is over 100 stalls.. and i'm a big fan of lots of them!
The markets are held at the Junction Primary School on the 1st Saturday of every month, rain hail or shine.
Sketch & Jones
The very talented Di Jones is the lady behind Sketch & Jones. Di prints, sews, cuts, draw and creates some fab wares and is a self professed 'fly by the seat of your pants crafter'. Di's stall is always full of bright bold colours and new crafty things!

Ciao Meow
Robyn Nunan is the wonder behind Ciao Meow and her shop the Ciao Meow Galley (who stock Howdy Stranger goodies)!
Robyn's original jewellery is created from recycled bottle tops, which are wearable artworks that are unique, decorative fashionable items. The bottle tops are made into pendants and are used with beads, buttons and/or other found objects. You can buy Ciao Meow direct from the Ciao Meow Gallery or through madeit.com.au or Etsy
